well, i didn't get much else done - but i did manage to read the first seven books of the southern vampire novels and the favorite parts of out the eigth this weekend.  i was a girl on a mission.  while i deeply enjoy the tv series - it doesn't remotely compare to the books having read them again.  it had been a while.  i had hoped that once i got to book 4 i would be ok and i could leave it at that.  the fourth is my favorite book.  but i got there and then realizing snippets from the following books made me profoundly happy i needed to relive those moments as well.  i feel sorry for people who can't get this wrapped up in a book. 
i'm really quite glad i managed to get as far as i did.  the thesis has not come back to me from the second set of revisions yet and i am starting to freak out about it.  but when the itch takes me its a damn hard pull. 

all of that awesomeness aside.  r cleaned the house for me yesterday AND unpacked aiden's remaining boxes.  i did promise to mow that grass so last night i did cut the front yard.  it desparately needed it.

having to take off half th eday friday is screwing me today.  i have to take off today and go take care of so much crap.  first i have to go to school and deal buying my cap and gown.  ugh!  and then i have to go to our old apartments and figure out who's taking the crack saying our carpet had needed replacing.  they're want to charge us over 400 bucks not to mention not giving us our deposit back.  to hell with that - my dad cleaned that carpet himself when we moved out.  no f-ing way kitties.  and then i have to go get my car taken care of because on top of the stick shift deciding it never wants to leave park and the part not being available until at least wednesday that evening the damn check engine light came on as well. 

so - lots to do today.  and i have to read the last book.  i thought i could get by on just reading my favorite part but no.  although i will likely read that portion again before i start at the beginning again.  but yeah, no...  ::big wild grins::  i love books.  i have so many lovelies to catch up on as soon as i graduate.  oh, i'm dang orgasmic thinking about it.  ::beams::
