I'm a water sign. I'm a freakin fish for craps sake. Why then is water giving me so many problems? We got the roof fixed. We got the door fixed, so now water dosen't come under it (YEA handy dad). Things are looking up! We got a freezer, going to stock up on yummies so I don't get too paranoid about risking my layers of fat. The washer started leaking water every where; for no good reason one of the hoses came loose. We got THAT fixed. I go to the downstairs bathroom last night and while I'm there, yucky water appears next to my foot. Did the roof manage to start leaking there? I look up, no, no leaking roof. I think, aww... cripes Aiden must have had an accident. The logistics of how it got where it did baffle me, but kids are amazing like that. I ask him about it (I tend to yell from the toilet, heh, so I'm weird). He didn't do. By now I've already wiped up the spot. But by the time I get my answer, there is yet more water. Its not dripping. Its to be coming from this space between two linolium pieces. Is water coming up from the ground? Jeeze, don't we have enough problems? Then I hear R shout from the kitchen laundry area. Between the bathroom and where the laundry machines are lies the airconditioning unit. Sigh... I don't know whats going on with that thing (I've seen plenty of them over flow their drains and I can't see any evidence of that so far, but I was too pissed to look hard). I do know that there is a good quantity of water under the aiconditioner. Its kind of up off the ground, and if you take out the filter underneath it there's like a big space, and that space had good ol' H2O all over it. It didn't flow over the area. It flowed under the friggin baseboards, down the wall, into the bathroom and flowed the cracks to torment me. And by the time it got to me it looked like poo water, just for the added yuckiness bonus. Sigh... I don't want to move all of our crap again. I HATE moving, I've got a LOT of crap, plus Aiden's stuff and R's stuff and now like furniture stuff. I DO NOT want to have to move. I'm so mad. Maybe the house dosen't like me. I've never had that problem before, houses usually REALLY like me. I'm about ready to just start throwing gallons of salt water on everything and be done with it. Boogers on everything, grrr... There's something to be learned in all this. But right now, I'm just to grumpy about it.
On the brighter side, we didn't get to go see the Johnny movie I wanted to see (A was feeling poorly most of the weekend, mild relapse), BUT we did go bowling again last night. And Aiden flirted with this really cute asian chik playing next to us. And half way through our second game a friend or family member of there's cames and started playing in a wheel chair. I don't know if A had ever seen a person in a wheel chair before, so I had to go through the whole we DO NOT point and say loud rude things about people in wheel chairs. He was just excited about the the wheel chair, he wasn't mean or anything. And by the end of the night, he knew the lady's name, had told he about his bowling trophy, and had effectively made friends. He had a little crush on the cute asian chik. Totally don't blame him. He made friends with her too, and kept making sure she watched him bowl. Little schmuzer that he is. He's too cute for his own health is what I say. R kicked butt, putting A and I to shame with his many strikes. I DID get a couple spare in though, to offset my bowling shame. I SUCK at it, but we lve playing it. There were TOO MANY people there though. I hate crowds of strangers, and R probably more than I (though while I hide it better, its really a close match), and there was a CRAP load of people there. They didn't have enough lanes for everyone (they have like 60 lanes) so like big groups were crowding to one or two lanes on either side of us. Took some of the enjoyment out of it, because both groups were made of obviously good players. Did see some neat moves though. All in all, it was a blast.
As for the airconditioner, I just said screw it and went to finish the new Kim Harrision (Fist full of charms). GREAT read by the way. Absolutely LOVED it. Any way, I need to go score some lunch.
