7 am and its dark outside? i frucking HATE daylight savings time. i CANNOT convince my body that i should be awake if its still dark in my bed room. noooo... the body laughs in the direction of the alarm, and must be tricked by the use of bedside lamps to get out of bed. anyway - gotta get started. i'm a perky morning person - its just the waking up that i hate.

If my alarm goes off and the sun is not up, something is NOT RIGHT with the world. And until school starts and my schedule changes, this is what its going to be like. And the rainy weather we've been having is going to only make it worse. I got all the way to work, and it still was barely light out. Driving to work with your headlights on is not something I enjoy. I mean, it doesn't matter when I go to bed, or how long I get to sleep. If the sun is not up, my internal clock denies reality and says SLEEP GOOD, alarm go smash now.
I can't wait for school to start, but I'm also a little scared. I mean, ECSU was a cakewalk. NOT hard to be the cream of the crop there these days (I hear it used to be a really good tuff school, but those days are LONG gone). And me, I need lots of attention and praise. And even just at field camp, being around all those kids who got to go to the tough schools, and how MUCH more than me that they knew about EVERYTHING. I mean, I'm not dumb, I catch on quick. But I SUCK at memorizing. And I can tell you about stuff all day long, explain the ins and outs of it, but if I have to remember the actual name of the thing, I'm screwed.
UNO is a tuff school, which is what appeals most to me about it. It's supposedly not a party school, which is good. And the geo. department is supposed to be really tough. I'm just having the jitters I guess. I mean Rossbach was not an easy teacher. As much as I truely like him, and it actually one of the reasons I like him, he's a HARD teacher. But he was the ONLY ONE like that in the gems dept. OF course, we only had two teacher. Dr. Mitchell doesn't count because he's an idiot and a screw up and he didn't know any actualy geology.
Ok, my rant is closing now, because I'm going to just freak myself out more whining about it. It'll be what it'll be. MAN, I'm definately not going to be able to let my grades slip, cause I'll lose my tuition waiver. GAHHHHHHH
