And I thought I was excited before. Now I'm just quivering mush. Red Heaven, Beth Patterson, and VOLTAIRE are the bands playing at the Vamp Lestat Ball! SO, now we have two of my topo favorite authors (including my topest Laurell K.) and one of my favorite artists EVER, Voltaire! AND the host told me that tickets are indeed only $20. They aren't on sell yet online (they are supposed to be up this month, but apparently the guy is behind). But the nice lady said she'd meet with me to sell me some! LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! More on Rasputina and Unwoman later, I just got the lady's e-mail and had to share. And we cleaned house yesterday, so I didn't get online. VOLTAIRE, ANN RICE, AND LAURELL K., plus six other paranormal writers (maybe my others tops?, I mean I doubt highly we'd get good ol' DEAN, but I can hope for MAry JANICE or KIM HArrison) I'll ask the lady when I see her!

Oct. 27 There's going to be the Lestat Ball to benefit Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild down here. And WHO is going to be there? Now come on... The WONDERFUL LARUELL K. HAMILTON (Anita Blake Vampire series and the Meredith Gentry series) and LOVELY LOVELY ANN RICE! And the tickets are only going to be like $20! I'm so excited I'm going to piss myself! AND THAT's A FRIDAY, I'll have all weekend to recover. And Laruell is going to personally present the prize of some raffle. I e-mailed the lady hosting it for more information a minute ago. Man Ann Rice even told Laurell's mailing list her suggestions for hotels while they are down here. Almost makes me want to get the one she mentioned in case she's using it. Of course she has a house here that probably didn't take damage (but I CAN HOPE). They are both GOING to BE THERE. Two of of five living people that I'd give just about anything to see and they are going to be in the same spot for me to hob nob with. Again, about to pee the pants. I'll let you all know if that lady gets back to me about for sure ticket prices and everything. JOYOUSLY joyous goodness! AND I don't even have to miss trick or treating to enjoy it!
