i don't have a clue when i last posted really. its been a while yes? lol. i've had huge projects at work. i had to come in on my off day and work 8 hours of over time and i even had to bring my work home on the weekends. i got comp time for those hours thankfully. hopefully monday the project that has been taking up the most of my time will be off my desk until october. the cool thing is i've been made lead author on it. that's so awesome. my name is listed first on the printing. squee!!! it will be presented at a conference i'm going to in may. i have to spend four days stuck in houston in MAY when it will be hot as snot. but i think it will be pretty cool. i don't get to go to the california training though. they said maybe next year. it ticks me off sense the person who said no is the person i've been having to do all these f-ing extra projects for. but i'll corner them at some point and try to find out why. they were nice and authorized my over time. we NEVER get over time so it was a big deal for me. we're getting two cats fixed this month so we really need the extra money. and car insurance and getting the taxes done are due this month as well. sigh... so no extra money to play with.
coming home tired i've been doing a lot of reading lately. i got a book called the physics and chemistry of color for my b-day. its AWESOME. i am a total geek, i know. i also got this one text book that colleges use to certify gemologists. i'm excited about that. i've read the first four chapters of the first book. i'm reading three books at once right now. all non-fiction. more than half way through the triumph of the moon by ronald hutton. reading the fourth ann moura book. and then the one i got for my b-day on color. they're all so fun and interesting!!! i hope to finish a least one of them this weekend. its on my to do list.
took aiden to get weighed for his meds today. got shopping done. we barbequed. we've been doing that a lot lately. since we set up the porch swing. i can't tell you how much i love that darn thing. it wasn't very expensive. my dad got it for my b-day. we spend a LOT of time outside now. in fact, i like to lay out on it and read. or when r gets home we go sit out on it. ::beams::
i used to xmas card to home depot my mom got us to get a bunch of gardening supplies. we have three cherry tomatoe plants. two black berry vines. one blue berry bush. two basil plants, two rosemary, one oregano, one dill, one red bell pepper and i think that's it. i've planted everything but the bell peppers and the tomatoes. i'll do those tomorrow. we also got three nice hanging baskets that we let aiden pick out. the back porch is starting to look really nice. there is this metal thing out back when we bought the house with wisteria growing around it. we're taking out the wisteria and putting the black berries on it when they're a little bigger. and we've potted the blue berry for now until its big enough to contend with weeds. i'm very excited. but knowing my track record with plants i'm not going to get my hopes up till the end of the season. i know we won't see berries for at LEAST a year on either plant i think. but still - its very exciting to me. ::beams::

LOVE that game. want to play the first one now. r has the first one for his pc - but i'm a big screen kind of gal. i LOVE alma!!! anywho... i'm off. movie to watch then books to read. i miss you all. i try to read every other day even if i'm not commenting. loves and smooches!!!
